thought I'd put a few words down to you faithful followers or to the newbies out there....summer is here at last....the sun is shining down and the streets are bustling with happy people...and i am on vacation as i write this....but one thing is still prevalent in my home stereo....MUSIC !...yes sir music is in my blood...I'm currently listening to a pretty eclectic mix these days.....bruce cockburn's new album...which is pretty darn good....jamie cullum's last album ..which i like better with every spin...loudon wainright iii...i bought a couple of used cds of his while in halifax on my solo trip....and jimmy rankin's new album..which has a lot of great songs on it...my fave right now being "lost".....well I'll leave you with this thought.....music is the language of the soul...isn't it not??

what a performance...

i had been waiting for the Jackson Browne concert for months now.....the day finally arrived .....on the 11th of April Jackson Browne graced the Moncton casino stage....i had a small idea of what to expect from the show because i had previously bought the solo acoustic cds he had put out....but man oh man it was better than i could put into words..but i'll try.....he walked onto the stage to a sold out crowd.....sat down and took one of his many guitars that were all aligned beside him.....playing the first notes to The barricades of heaven,,,,and then preceded to sing the song.....after that he just took requests from the crowd....no setlist at all.....i shouted out my favorite song of his,,,,fountain of sorrow....and voila he moved himself to the piano and played it brilliantly...one by one he played classics from his deep catalogue and a few new ones off his last album " time the conquerer"......at one point of the show i swore he was looking right at me...it was almost a spiritual experience....i can tell you now that this concert is by far one of the best i have attended.....god bless you Jackson Browne.

intro to Pearls before Swine

here's a comic artist i follow everyday ...his name is Stephan Pastis and he's the creator of what i think is one of the best comic strips out there,,," PEARLS BEFORE SWINE"....it's funny,hilarious..sometimes controversial..but always unique in its humour...check it out...
