the magic of music...
music to me is an essential piece of my life...without it there would be no point of living..........i know such dire words to say but it's true....music is like a very good friend who knows how to sooth your soul..perhaps music is like a drug....giving us highs and lows....sadness and bliss....bob dylan ...gordon lightfoot....iron maiden...john martyn....jamie cullum...steely dan....soundgarden....pink floyd.....level 42....neil yong....john hiatt.....are but a few of my favorite artists.....to some vinyl sounds warmer and the cd sounds more precise....nothing beats listening to a great album on a stereo system....denon integrated amplifier....pioneer turntable....paradigm speakers....how music was made to be listened to.....

back to the compact disc @

in recent months i have started buying cds again....mainly used ones i can find at thrift stores...
the reason for this is simple....the inflated pricing of vinyl albums....at my local music shop a vinyl album can run from 40 to 60 dollars an album.....this is in my opinion outrageous....if the music labels would
sell their product at a better price meaning in the 20 to 30 dollar range i'm sure they would still get a
decent profit....this my friends speaks to the greed of these companies...in my opinion...
and let's not forget the quality of sound of the compact disc ....it really is a marvellous music carrier...
i do still buy an occassional vinyl ....if its an album i really want ...like for an example if my favorite band comes out with a new album ..that band being Iron Maiden !
well hopefully things will turn around with the prices of vinyl...but from what i can see people are willing to dish out the dollars for these overpriced albums....time will tell .
